Painted and photographed landscapes, portraits, prints and sculptures from 300 local artists adorn the walls and halls of the Monterey Museum of Art again this year as a part of the annual holiday tradition, Miniatures. This year, the roster of local artisans includes some of the youngest ever featured at the museum, thanks to the inauguration of, Kids Miniatures; an exhibit of works by artists aged 5-15. The pieces included in these exhibitions will be raffled at $5 a ticket with proceeds benefiting museum community programs. Also, the sweeping painted landscapes of Paul Roehl will be on display as part of the MontereyNOW exhibit. This is one holiday tradition that doesn't involve over-consumption; unless you think its possible to over consume the inspiring creations of 300 local artists.[RP]
5-7pm. Monterey Museum of Art Pacific. 559 Pacific St. Monterey. Free. 372-5477. www.montereyart.org
