California Constitution Anniversary Commemoration at Colton Hall

Did you know, California is one of the few state constitutions which explicitly guarantee privacy as a right? Even the US Constitution doesn't do this, although privacy rights exist in federal law because of the cases which discuss the 4th Amendment.

Learn other fascinating facts related to our California State Constitution at the 162nd Anniversary celebration commemorating the enactment of the California Constitution. Portions of the debates which occurred just prior to enactment of our state's constitution back in 1849, will be re-enacted. Light refreshments provided.
