While CAFF's (that's what close friends call it) resident filmmakers convene and mingle at a pre-festival lounge at Sunset Center on Wednesday, the box office opens to the public at the festival headquarters at Carmel Plaza, a sleek top story office filled with cheeky and stylish merchandise. The next day, CAFF bursts open like a pinata, spilling its contents of film, art, lecture and music goodies. Tickets from from $0 to $50 (all day film pass) to $3,000 VIP packages, so there are lots of levels and entryways to enjoy this thing. You've been served notice.
