Paris is Paris is Paris at Carl Cherry Center

Its first run back in October sold out. So Carol Daly reprises her role as Gertrude Stein in this new play by director Tom Parks that sends the viewer back to the heydey of the 20th century in Paris, when art collector, poet and writer Stein ruled the cultural roost. Though considered an inscrutalbe writer, she is most famous for her famous friends and proteges—Earnest Hemingway, Henri Matisse, Pablo Picasso, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Sherwood Anderson—who swirled in the orbit of her high-minded and lively literary salons at 27 rue de Fleurus. Ms. Stein invites audiences into the world of her works and friends, circa 1946. [WR]
