For a self-proclaimed madman who knows nothing, the narrator of Edgar Allen Poe's "The Tell-Tale Heart" can sure spin a yarn. A dramatic reading of this classic along with other spooky stories, Faulker's "A Rose for Emily" and Robert Frost's "The Witch of Coös," brings dusty literary gems out of the woodwork in time for the Halloween spirit. Presented by Pacific Repertory Theatre's School of Dramatic Arts, the words on stage series is more than performance—it also breaths life into forgotten masterpieces, including Faulker's first story to be published in a national magazine.
