While local Salinas photographers walk the streets of their beautiful city, they are reminded of one important aspect--the unique citizens that flood the area. With a premier event at their new location, SOMOS puts on the second photo show in the Salinas Exposed series--centering around those interesting folk found in Salinas. SOMOS opens up its gallery while ten photographers from the area show off their portrait pieces with photographs of citizens with no age, race, or gender restrictions in a way that truly captivates the community as a whole. After a great response from the first show in the series, it is easy to say the people at SOMOS are working hard to provide a great environment to give their local artists and new location a warm welcome with this showcase. Enjoy live entertainment from three local musicians and free treats while SOMOS fulfills its goal of “raising awareness of the many talented street artists living within our area and abroad”. [MY]
