Like Miles Davis, Dizzy Gillespie and Chet Baker, Chris Botti's favored trumpet is a vintage Martin Committee (his was handcrafted in 1939). Though not a legend just yet, Botti seems well on his way: over the last 15 years, the jazz-pop alchemist has sold almost 3 million albums worldwide, has garnered multiple Grammy nominations, and has inspired career-changing collaborations with groundbreakers such as Paul Simon, Sting and Steven Tyler.
