Mission Days at Mission San Antonio de Padua

Missionaries in the early days of California knew that long journeys were worth the trouble. Getting to Mission San Antonio De Padua might not be all that easy, but there's no doubt seeing this rarely visited patch of history is worth it. Enjoy demonstrations in adobe making, acorn grinding, tortilla making and watch dance and traditional music from the era of early California when settlers were, in a word, settling. Men of history and science, Charles Ewing and Robert Hoover, are on hand for a guided tour of the mission. For $10 dine on the fare that early Californians enjoyed, and take time to get your face painted and make something out of beads in the traditional Native American way. There is a $10 fee per car.
