Last year, teams from Taiwan, Mexico, Puerto Rico and the U.S. played 23 games (Tawan took that one). This year teams come from Texas, Taipei, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Monterey, Salinas and other U.S. regions. The series lasts Aug. 2-9, with the opening ceremonies sparked off 4pm Thursday, Aug. 2, with introductions and national anthems and gift exchanges (the first game comes before the opening ceremonies at 2:30pm). Then it's triple and quadruple headers all the way through to the semis on 5pm and 7:30pm Wednesday, Aug. 8, and the championship 7pm Thursday, Aug. 9.
