The Band of the Golden West Concert Band makes a banking turn and swoops in from the wild blue yonder to play a show at Sherwood Hall in Salinas. On Thursday the largest ensemble band within the US Air Force plays a variety of tunes and songs for Monterey County residents who attend. Hailing from California's Travis AFB, the Golden West Band is in high demand around the nation, having toured and played for fellow airmen and airwomen, as well as good ole' fashioned civilians across wide swaths of American soil. Opening to start the show at 7pm, is Watsonville Band, who bring their local sounds to get the crowd ready for the main act.
