Yearning for the 80's stops here. Sherwood Hall holds Freestyle Summer Fest and it's brining the best of the decade back. Apart from opening act Dan Grand and Daluzion, two separate areas are jockeyed with DJ's such as Bubba G. Scotch, Sir Elegance and DJ Madonna. Double headliners Lisa Lisa and Stevie B keep the night rocking with their R&B toppers and other goodies. After chart topping hits such as "I Wonder If I Can Take You Home" and "Head to Toe," Lisa Lisa proves she's still got it and she's got it good. Stevie B also sings to jog the memory; his resume includes the famous "I'll Be By Your Side" and the soulful "Because I Love You." VIP tables are on reserve at $60 per person. And those who invest in backstage passes enjoy and open bar, including mixed drinks. However, everyone with admission enjoys an after party starting at 2pm. Some proceeds from the bar purchases will benefit Salinas Jaycees' annual Children's Shopping Tour. Colorful windbreakers and semetrically aligned choreography never looked so good.
