An Evening With William Blake at Carl Cherry

The legend of poet and artist William Blake lives on. Poetry fans and literature geeks uncover the mysterious and strange world of Blake's poetry and life set to silence and music. Soprano star Norma Mayer and flutist Richard Mayer combine Blake's lyricism to musical arrangements of composers such as Ralph Vaughn Williams. Bill Minor sets a more traditional tone and reads Blake's poetry as is and gives a brief talk on master of two arts. All performances and presentations are accompanied by Blake's art providing a little more substance to the elusive poet's life. As Blake said himself, "What is now proved was once only imagine." Reservations available by phone or online.
