The Monterey Public Library holds their annual Giant Used Book Sale on Saturday, December 1. Participants get a chance to choose from a wide variety of gently used books at bargain prices. There will be a members-only preview sale on Friday, November 30, from 3 - 5 p.m. Non-members are welcome to become a member at the door. On Saturday from 4-5pm participants get the chance to fill up a shopping bag with books for only $5. It is encouraged that participants bring their own bags. Children's author Anne Ylvisaker sells and signs copies of her newest book Button Down at book sale on Saturday from 10 am-noon. Button Down is on sale for $15 and all profits benefit the Friends of the Monterey Public Library. [BH]
