Trees of Life lightings and musical celebrations

For the 28th year, thousands of white lights, each named for someone, will flick on, forming the shape of holiday trees on rooftops throughout the county, and remembering loved ones in a time of charity and community. Beginning at
5pm Dec 2, local choirs and community groups put on a variety show at Robert Stanton Theatre, King City High School, 720 Broadway, King City, with a lighting at Rabobank,532 Broadway, King City. Starting at 5:30pm Dec 10, music from the Salinas High School choir and lighting at National Steinbeck Cneter, One Main St., Salinas. 5:30pm Dec 13, music at Monterey Conference Center, One Portola Plaza, Monterey with lighting at the neighboring Marriott Hotel. Donations support various local non-profits that help people live with dignity, peace and comfort in their final weeks of life, and emotional and care support for families.
