If you were in high school in the '80s, you probably saw (or you probably were) headbangers rocking a mullet, natty denim vest and any number of black T-shirt from Ozzy, Ratt, Def Leopard, Metallica or the L.A.-based band Dokken, immortalized (by proxy of their fans partying in the parking lot before their show with Judas Priest) in the 1986 film Heavy Metal Parking Lot. Don Dokken fronts an acoustic three-piece band now and uses the dexterity from those heavy metal guitar solos on more melodic takes on his former band's glory days. Admission includes the comedy acts before the music reigns down. [WR]
