Jose's has been hosting some of the loudest and rawkiest music on the Peninsula for quite a while now. More power to them. These three bands are going to add more power to that equation. Forgotten Gods, from the Bay Area, say their goal is to "create some heavy ass shit." Mission accomplished. Granted Earth from Monterey do apocalyptic avant-garde metal, but they weave in strands of melodic instrumental passages to assuage and lull the ears. It's called dynamics and they'll spew it all over tiny basement. Aranya, from Portland, have rocked Jose's before with somewhat scary brand of dark religion metal music fronted by lead howler Uta. And Sludgebucket…what more to say? [WR]
