The trio of Climbing Poetree, Invincible and Las Krudas combine into the "international, bilingual, pansexual, polyracial, multi-media, cross-genre" blend of OuterSpaces, a spoken word performance troupe of women who champion the fringe, the underground, the minority and the politically progressive. Invincible does so through complex lyricism, Poetree through her musical flow, Las Krudas through feminist and Afro-Cuban hip-hop, all three do it with beat boxing, instruments, video projections. This Jayson Fann show comes to town, literally, (Fann usually stages these kinds of shows at the idyllic Big Sur Spirit Garden) and we're always glad to see culture land at the doorsteps of the masses.
