Whatever the tale of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table might've been missing—cows, killer rabbits, French people, showgirls—Spamalot's added in, which a hearty dose of humor. The makers of this musical comedy say it's "lovingly ripped off" from Monty Python and the Holy Grail, but you can never have too many layers of irony or self-conscious silliness in an age-old tale that might've once seemed untouchable. Prepare to laugh, a lot, and be grateful you can laugh at knights in shining armor without getting sent to the executioner. [SR]
