The London Bridge Pub, located at Fisherman's Wharf, offers live music every Friday and Saturday night. Performing regularly on Friday nights Rex Wheeler has been a fixture on the Monterey Peninsula for 3 decades. A founding member of the seminal Monterey rock 'n' roll band Another Roadside Attraction, Rex is a talented singer/songwriter that plays a wide variety of rock 'n' roll favorites.
Burris , one of the founding members of the Cachagua Playboys, returns to the London Pride Pub as a solo artist on Saturday, December 29. With Jonah and the Whalewatchers Burris started out as posse, then roadie, then sound boy and finally guitar. Now he drums samba and plays forro accordion with the Sambahemians.
Harmonic plays fun, feel good music for all to enjoy, young and old. The group performs and will celebrate New Years Eve at the London Bridge Pub on Monday, December31. Serving up a delicious organic blend of acoustic strings mixed with sweet harmonies and raw spirit, the quartet is like ice cream to the ears. Hot pickin', fast fiddlin', and soulful lyrics characterize the band's sound. From originals to traditional that dabble in Gypsy-Jazz, Reggae, Funk, Celtic, Classical, Folk, and various alternative stylings, the band is an ever evolving Blugrass project perpetually headed for that "next level".
Saturday, January 5 singer/songwriter John Michael performs at the London Bridge Pub. Michael was born in Dun Laoghaire Ireland, some 12 kilometers south of Dublin, and moved to California when he was five years old. He has been singing since he was four years old, and among other things is a trained Opera singer. When Michael was 20 years old, he worked as an Elvis Presley impersonator at Great America in Chicago Illinois. Michael has been a front man for numerous rock 'n' roll bands in Monterey and in the San Francisco Bay Area opening up for national touring acts such as Third Eye Blind, Chris Isaac, The Fixx, The Pointer Sisters, and Allan Holdsworth.
