The 2012 international ocean film competition will accept submissions through April 16, in 27 categories which include TV Documentaries, Online "Dot Doc" Videos, Foreign Films, Student Films, and Hollywood Feature Films, etc. This highly regarded festival honors the power of film and entertainment to address key environmental issues and to inspire action from audiences around the world. The 7-day festival will be held at the end of September in beautiful Monterey County. BLUE is a project of Make A Difference, a 501 (C) 3 non-profit organization advocating the message: "Never has it been more urgent to promote, honor, and share great films that inspire ocean stewardship."
