Michael Katakis and Kris Hardin Discuss "Photographs and Words" at P.G. Museum of Natural History

25 years of trekking the globe with a camera and journal in tow have given photographer and author Michael Katakis and social anthropologist Kris Hardin a unique, brilliantly illustrated perspective. Their book, "Photographs and Words" is a glimpse through a studied lense of a "troubled humanity" the world over. From mourners at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington D.C. to villagers in Sierra Leone on the brink of a bloody civil war, the strengths, sacrifice, sadness and joy of the human experience appears stark against a vibrant and varied background.
