Legendary Beach Boys founding member and Big Sur resident Al Jardine will be honored with a lifetime achievement award at the Arts Council for Monterey County's seventh annual gala. The event, which raises funds for youth arts education programs, also recognizes an outstanding local arts nonprofit, volunteer, educator, professional, and philanthropist for their contributions to the literary, performing and visual arts. Swing trio Andrea's Fault headlines the evening's entertainment, and auctions and a wine raffle gives everyone a chance to celebrate and support the arts. [RR]
