Formed in 1998 by husband/wife team of guitarist Art and vocalist Kelly Galvan, Kool Katz has released two albums of what they call "Latin Pazzazz," a proprietary blend of salsa and jazz. They've played with top artists like Malo featuring Jorge Santana, The Gap Band, Sheila E and Ron Moton from Con Funk Shun, and their third coming album, Kool Katz & Friends, is being recorded with help from Pete & Juan Escovedo, Richard Bean of Sapo, and Joe Bataan and Azteca.
