World class wizards of music come together in a quartet with their string instruments as The Goat Rodeo Sessions, for a performance to be played on the big screen at your local theater. Yo-Yo Ma is known throughout the world as the preeminent classical cellist of our time, and is joined in this oddly named band by Stuart Duncan on fiddle, Chris Thile on mandolin, and Edgar Meyer on bass. Even the casual listener of music can hear the influences in their songs from bluegrass, jazz, and classical, which all commingle to form a distinctive sound by a non-traditional string quartet. They are joined by vocalist Aoife O'Donovan, who back in October, performed with The Goat Rodeo Sessions crew on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Tickets are available at the box office, or online.
