Big Miracle at Outdoor Forest Theater

Big Miracle hits a chord with Central Coast residents because of the proximity of the gray whale migrations along our shorelines. The story revolves around a small pod of gray whales trapped under a sheet of Alaskan ice, and the publicized effort it takes to rescue them. John Krasinski (The Office) and Drew Barrymore (Firestarter) star in this family drama that brings a collaborated effort of polar opposites of ideological and societal backgrounds to free these whales. Watching the film, set in chilly Alaska, might make the cool Carmel evenings even cooler; bring a jacket, blankets, and although it's summer, something hot in the thermos.[GS]
