This play will touch a nerve with anyone who's ever opened an old wound, literally or figuratively. Two characters meet at age 8 in the nurse's office after Doug rides his bike off the roof and Kayleen can't stop barfing. The narrative traces the intersections between these two lives over the next 30 years, and in the tradition of this young, provocative theater season (2X4BASH), dares to poke at old scars in pursuit of examining something much bigger: here, why people hurt themselves in trying to be loved.
