To call them folk is an understatement. Wiskerman packs a big country band sound into their hybrid, thereby folksy music also infused with trombone and early blues-rock influences--think a splash of Ray LaMontagne. Backed by his brother Lewis on cello and trombone, singer and keyboardist Madeline Streicek, bassist Will Lawrence and drummer Nicholas Cobbett, Graham Patzner brings to the stage an arsenal of guitar, violin, piano which he began learning at age 5, and a voice that ranges from skillfull husky hollows to soaring, yelping heights. Whiskerman borrows honeymoon's frontwoman Christina Bailey for her clear as a crystal ringing bell vocals.[JB]
