"I love a good man outside the law, just as much as I hate a bad man inside the law." It's lyrics like these that continue to live on as part of the memory of Woody Guthrie, one of the most influential folk musicians of all time. To celebrate his centennial, Unitarian Universalist minister Steve Edington—author of The Beat Face of God: The Beat Generation Writers as Spirit Guides and Bring Your Own God: The Spirituality of Woody Guthrie—will be on hand along with locals Mike West & Co., who will be performing the music of Guthrie. [AJ]
3pm. Henry Miller Library, 48603 Highway 1, quarter mile south of Nepenthe, Big Sur. Donations accepted. 667-2574. www.henrymiller.org.
