First Friday at Steinbeck Center

June's First Friday includes a last look at Woody Guthrie's 100 year exhibit, full of rare materials about the legendary folk artist, with a student art show by the Art Connection program full of wildlife and flowers to breath life back into lingering images from the dust bowl. The Clear Blue Clay band will play while the exhibits are open, followed by a talk by Donald Stoker, Professor of Strategy and Policy for the U.S. Naval War College’s Monterey Program at NPS, on his recent award winning book on civil war strategy. 5–8pm; 5:30-6:30pm music; 7pm author talk. Steinbeck Center, 1 Main St., Salinas. Free. www.steinbeck.org.
