The horse racing community hasn’t buzzed about a horse like they have with “I’ll Have Another” since the zenith of the 19-1 career of “Zenyatta”—and the Triple Crown wasn’t even on the line then. If you care anything about horse racing there is no excuse for missing this one, and if you’re in Monterey there really isn’t a better viewing party around. The 7,000 square-foot facility boasts 50 big screen TVs, tons of seating (including a patio) and satellite wagering—plus a special Belmont Stakes Race Day menu and adult beverages, as per usual. And, if “I’ll Have Another” wins the Triple Crown, the Race Place will surely be partying like it’s 1978. [JE]
