George Young can blow. On many instruments—about 10, including tenor, alto and soprano sax, clarinet, flute and ethnic instruments. Primarily a saxophonist, he's played with Pavarotti, Mick Jagger, John Lennon, Ron Carter, James Brown, Madonna. You've probably heard him play: he's contributed music to films Miller's Crossing, Tootsie, Ghostbusters and When Harry Met Sally, and TV shows My Name is Earl, The Simpsons and Saturday Night Live. He's respected in the world of music and returns to the Hyatt for two nights backed by pianist Eddie Mendenhall, drummer David Morwood and bassist Kanoa. [WR]
