Did you know that Sacha Baron Cohen was in Martin Scorsese's children's film Hugo? Neither did I. The story, based on Brian Selznick's novel The Invention of Hugo Cabret, is about an orphan boy who lives in an enormous train station in Paris in the 1930s who stumbles upon, and becomes involved with, a mysterious man who's trying to repair a mechanical man. The boy is also enamored with clocks. The Academy Award-winning film is Scorsese's homage to film, in particular the pioneering French Lumiere brothers. This should provide a beautiful starry night film screening with the Outdoor Forest Theater's tasty concessions and dual fire pits as welcome accompaniment. [WR]
