"Monterey is bagging it" at Colton Hall

Celebrate Monterey's departure from plastic bags with bike blended smoothies from Green Pedal Couriers as council member Libby Downey speaks on Monterey's ban on single-use plastic bags. In the name of sustainability, the Monterey Bay Aquarium and the city of Monterey will be giving out free reusable bags to replace the plastic. Activities include an art station hosted by Green Heart Works and live music by Mati Miller on guitar. Eco-bag vendors include Eco-Carmel, Native Leaf and Sustainable Monterey County.
11am-3pm; 1pm speech. Colton Hall lawn, 570 Pacific St., Monterey.
