The Motels at Planet Gemini

The eighties are making a comeback on the Peninsula—at least for one night. Children of the generation when MTV was actually devoted to music and Top Gun was the coolest movie ever made will know exactly what this band is all about. With the help of Martha Davis’ stunning vocals and a New Wave sound that defined a generation, classic tracks like “Suddenly Last Summer” and “Only the Lonely” both broke into Billboard’s top ten. Linda Arceo and Jason Ruggles will open with an unplugged set and then it’s time to roll back to the New Wave. [JE]
