The daughter of a circuit-riding minister from the Appalachian Mountains, Elizabeth Ellis began professional storytelling in 1979. Since then Ellis has told her humorous Appalachian and Texan tales as far as New Zealand, and has won the Circle of Excellence Award from the National Sotrytelling Network. Ellis will perform her original story The Tax Man and Other Monsters.
