Green Building Lecture Series

In celebration of its Center for Sustainable Design & Construction's new 140-acre Advanced Technology Center, Hartnell College will host a lectures series featuring accomplished architects and ecologists. Architect Thomas W. Rettenwender, of Sand City's EcoLogic Design Lab will speak on March 23. Gisela Moreno, an architect with Maloka Casa Designs of Salinas will present April 13. Ecologist and urban planner, Paul Kephart of Rana Creek Designs in Monterey will lecture on April 20. And architect Safwat Malek of Enviro International Architects Builders in Carmel will be featured on April 27. If you really want to get your green architectural knowledge on, enroll in Hartnell's CONS125 Green Building Materials and Methods course which starts on March 20. Enrollment is not necessary to attend lectures. All lectures are free and open to the public.
