Raised in Southern California, Bill Fenwick describes himself as an environmentalist at heart. He paints "endangered landscapes" on the Central Coast, in the hopes that viewers will recognize just how unique and fragile this area truly is. Fenwick has earned an AA Degree in Art, as well as a Masters of Art Degree. He uses colorful applications of acrylic and uses "the landscape as a metaphor." His work is exhibited in the permanent collections of the Community Hospital of Monterey Peninsula, Bethany College, and the Elkhorn Slough Foundation Visitor Center, as well as some private collections throughout the country. The exhibition runs from March 27 to May 7.
9am-1pm; 2-5pm, Tues-Fri. Unitarian Universalist Church of Monterey Peninsula, 490 Aguajito Road, Carmel. Free. 624-7404, fenwickatelier@me.com.
