Humorist David Sedaris calls the award winning Selected Shorts podcast and radio show "One of the finest evenings at the theatre." While this might be accurate, it's also safe to say today's performance will be one of the funniest evenings at the theater as well. Riffing on the theme "Lots of Laughs" the on-stage talent will include the programs's consummate host Isaiah Sheffer, the quirky Kirsten Vangsness and British actress Christina Pickles. The cast will give new life to humorous short stories written by both established and emerging writers, one of whom is the multi-faceted writer/artist Miranda July. Monterey County denizens who attend are in for an added bonus: the live event may be taped for broadcast on public radio stations nationwide. [JAF]
