When folks like Johnny Cash, Kris Kristofferson, Elvis Costello and Bill Kreutzmann need accompanists, these two uber-talented musicians were a first call. Scott Musick is a founding member of The Call, while Santa Cruz product Jim Lewin tours with alt-country jammers Great American Taxi. The two will be on hand armed with Americana originals and a few gems from the myriad artists they've played with. They will be accompanied by bassist Mike Sugar of Jambay and lead guitarist of The Call, Tom Ferrier. The essence of espresso won't be the only thing wafting through The Works this night as the musical talent under the small P.G. roof is sure to be palpable.
7:30pm. The Works, 667 Lighthouse Ave., Pacific Grove. $12. 372-2242, theworkspg.com.
