Considering the proximity to some of the world's favorite golf courses, Fox on the Fairway is certain to be a "hole-in-one" with golf-loving community on the Peninsula. This comedy set in the bar of the Quail Valley Country Club, deals with the sordid affairs of the club's president, Bingham. He is caught in a web of love, lust, gambling, and foolishness, all of which is splashed with a bit of alcohol consumption. This play by Ken Ludwig (who penned Lend Me A Tenor) was first produced in 2010 to mixed reviews, but has seen improvements in critical reception in each subsequent rendition. Jack Stauffer directs for the intimate Magic Circle Theater, which will run this play from May 4-June 3, Friday and Saturday evenings, and Sunday afternoons. [GS]
