It’s the weekend gamblers, equine enthusiasts and sports fans look forward to every Spring. Known in sporting circles as “the most exciting two minutes in sports,” the 138th running of the Kentucky Derby—complete with huge hats, mint juleps and long-standing tradition—is the first of the Triple Crown races that also includes the Preakness and the Belmont Stakes. With 7,000 square feet of space including an outdoor patio and 50 big-screen TVs missing the action will be a challenge. A special appetizer menu will be available (including the obligatory juleps) and the betting will be fierce. If you can’t make it to Kentucky, odds are there's no better place to throw down a few bucks and take in the Run for the Roses. [JE]
