There’s no better time to revisit the history of the Carmel River. March, a Carmel High graduate with a claim to Cachagua’s wild old days, traces the river’s story from the 1600s to the present and from headwaters to mouth, weaving human stories with science to create a forward-flowing narrative about the short-sighted exploitation of a life-giving resource.
