Cars and rock and roll go together, well, like cars and rock and roll. As far as the music element, the 6th annual Rock & Rod Festival is bringing Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Terry Sylvester (The Hollies) and Felix Cavaliere (The Rascals) along with R&R vets the Yard Dogs and the Chicano All Stars Band, surfabilly outfit Los High Tops, western swingsters Big Sandy & His Fly-Rite Boys and more. There's also the rod half of the event. The "Best of the West” includes competitions for cars and motorcycles; there are also custom and classic sub-categories. Expect to be in the presence of the sexiest rides on the coast. [AJ]
