Brazilian natives Papiba Godinho and Dandha da Hora lead the song-and-dance fusion of this Santa Cruz band that blends Brazilian samba, Jamaican reggae, and American funk into a sexy, percussive and propulsive sound. These cats bring flavors from the Afro-Brazilian region of Salvador, Bahia and the Carnival group Ile Aiye, which mixes equal parts civil rights activism and down and dirty dance party. [WR]
