Four outstanding local artists give four different views of Monterey County landscapes through their oil paintings. Salinas resident Andy Williams offers his take on the Big Sur coast, Elkhorn Slough and the majestic oak stands and dry washes of Fort Ord. Stan Robbins, who resides near Asilomar in Pacific Grove, explores his fascination with the meeting of rocks and sea. Ron Grauer, of Ben Lomond, focuses on the sheer joy of painting, showing a random collection of subjects that have grabbed him over the last few years. As part of the Four View theme, Mark Farina gives a free oil painting demonstration. Also in May, Dick Crispo launches a new series of acrylic on canvas based on Mexican mask and Alicia Meheen shows local landscapes in oil and watercolor. [DVD]
