Your thumbs or your life sounds like a pretty easy choice, but when the stakes are that one in four in an outlandish cadre of thieves is going to die, no one knows who to loose the thumbs. Given the night to decide, this black comedy delves into the characters' intertwined self-preservation and foil weaknesses: the newly single kleptomaniac Maggie, her dedicated, but compulsive-overeater 12 step sponsor Paul, Maggie's jealous ex-boyfriend and small time thief Flaco, and his new girlfriend Boochie, a topless dancer looking to sate every indulgence on the way to fame. Chair-bound, they lock in a battle of words over who should survive a temptingly perfect drug money heist gone wrong. [JB]
