The fellas in this country band hone in on the wild but conscious side of California with an organic blend of jangly sing-along rock, twangy acoustic guitar, Celtic fiddle and rich, chewy melodies that have been likened to Emmylou Harris and Gram Parsons. Their songs like "Humbolt," "Motorcycle Mamma" and "Raised by Hippies" paint part of the picture. Their freedom-loving ethic and endorsement by High Times magazine ("leaves the poseurs of alt-schmaltz dust choked") reveals a little more.
