John Wehrle at CSUMB University Center

All is fair in art and war. Former Vietnam combat artist and recognized Bay Area muralist, John Wehrle will be presenting some of his latest pieces as apart of CSU Monterey Bay's visiting artist series. Wehrle was a combat artist in Vietnam, leading the first group of army artist sent to create a visual record of the war. After completing his service, and later on school in New York, he migrated to the west and has lived and worked in San Francisco ever since. Wehrle specializes in public art works including interior and exterior murals as well as architectural installations that combine text, painting ceramic, tile and relief structure. Wehrle's presentation will be the final event in CSU Monterey Bay's visiting art series so don't miss out on the chance to meet an art war hero! [RC]
