October Art Show at Carmel Art Association

This month showcases four of CAA's acclaimed painters. Wilda Northrop painted scenes of her former neighborhood in LA and also her current one in Pacific Grove; Miguel Dominguez paints supremely serene scenes of zen-like fields and woods; Roianne Hart sketches the female figure in graphite, then paints washes over them, through the sketches show through; and Alicia Meheen paints naturescapes from her RV travels with her husband. (In addition, the Gallery Showcase features Fred Carvell's acrylic semi-abstract landscapes and Heidi Hybl's abstract oils.) The four artist will also panel a discussion 6-7pm on Oct. 26 to talk about their approaches. [WR]
