The Los Angeles native and Grammy nominated vocalist and composer returns to the Seaside campus by popular demand. Batalla started her career as a backup singer for Leonard Cohen, who encouraged her to strike out on her own. Eighteen years and a half dozen albums later—many of which can be found on “best of” lists throughout the country—the Latin songstress has received numerous awards and accolades thanks to a voice critics have called “sublime” and “stunning.”
